JULY 24 ALUMNI MEETING

It's sad to think that only a few jubilarians attended the meeting yesterday. We just reviewed some of the plans for the Homecoming in December 30. We learned that the SAA Alumni Association Savings account has only P20,111.17 in it. If you Wish to donate this is the Account No: 4206135773.

Father Joel shared us the statistics they gathered during the enrollment. so here is what he got from 82 respondent parents who enrolled their children for First Year:

1. 40 -45 said they enrolled their kids because they like the discipline and seriousness of the school staff

2. 40 said they are contented of how the school run

3. 18 said they sent all their kids in this school.

4. 4 said its because they're Catholics meaning many of the paresnts who sent their kids were not Catholics. They sent their kids here because they believe their kids will receive good education.

Father Joel proudly praised his staff and he planned for a scholarship for those planning to pursue masteral courses.

As part of the 5-year Developmental Plan leading to the Golden Jubilee in 2015, there's a lot of changes in the school not only physically but for the uplifting of the lives of the staff whom he said are lowest paid in the Diocesan schools. as we see, the school finances is getting stable and the improvement of the facilities has been started.

CLASS 78 GATHERING 2010

Class 81 did it in 2005, followed by Class 80 in 2008. now, its Class 78. This gathering is a very memorable one considering that it was their first since they left the portals of Saint Anne Academy 32 years ago. Thanks to the efforts of miss Yolanda Duldulao, the former SAA Alumni President and of course the other members like Joel who is now living in Bulacan and Miss Vinoya who co-sponsored the event. Miss Vinoya and her family is vacationing from the United States just to meet her classmates 32 years ago.

It was time to remember all the good and bad things they've experienced during their high school. The whole day seemed not enough to talk and rekindle those days but since some of them live in other parts of the country and the world, they have to leave with a wish to come back again for another gathering.

One thing good that happened in this gathering is that they have renewed their friendships and ties, exchanging their stories and contact numbers and addresses and as they parted they left behind a gift for the benefit of the students - improvement of the computer room.

to Class 78, Congratulations.
