BALIK SAA 2011 - OCTOBER 30 ALUMNI MEETING

EXCERPTS OF THE MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE SAINT ANNE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION INC., DATED OCTOBER 30, 2011 AT THE SAINT ANNE ACADEMY FUNCTION HALL, SAA COMPLEX, PIDDIG ILOCOS NORTE
(Note: this is not the official report prepared by the Secretary)


A: DIRECTORS REPORT

1.)   Alumni projects and donations this year. Particularly mentioned were the 2 window-type Inverter-air conditioners installed at the Computer Laboratory donated by Class 78 and the  Phase I of the covered walkway constructed by Class 77. He also mentioned a cash donation (peso & dollar) from Marilyn (Class 77).
2.)   Promised Gate project but the donor has not yet remitted money.
3.)   Scholarship fund with the P10,000 seed money donated by the association and additional money from the director’s salary from his teaching load.  The fund is still short of about P17,000 for this year’s scholars. Individuals who wish to contribute to the scholarship fund may contact the school officials.
4.)   The newly renovated administration building cost P498,000.00. It houses the faculty room, offices, clinic, library, computer lab, kitchen and conference hall

B: BALIK SAA 2011
1.)   This year’s Alumni Homecoming will be  on December 30, 2011. Friday
2.)   The same date is scheduled for 2012 but it will coincide with the school’s foundation day (February or March) in 2013
3.)   Registration is free.
4.)   Tentative Program (Dec. 30, 2011)(Venue: SAA Compound)
a.)   7:00 – Mass
b.)   8:00 – Assembly/ Motorcade
c.)   9:00 – Kumustahan/Business Meeting
d.)   12:00 – Pack Lunch. The group opted to follow last year’s example – pot luck. Bring your own lunch. We encourage each Class to prepare their food by group.
e.)   6:00- 8:00 PM Cultural Show. The cultural show prepared by the Saint Anne Academy students, staff and PTCA will be on its 3rd run. Tickets will be sold at minimal cost. The proceeds will be used to finance the school’s stage
f.)    Arroz caldo will be served free by the school. The host classes will be serving  free sandwich and  soft drinks. But drinks and barbecue will be sold at the school canteen. After the cultural show, we’ll have our own show.

C: MISCELANEOUS:
1.)   The Association donated P10,000.00 to the PTCA project (Stage)
2.)   An Alumni book containing the names of SAA alumni will be prepared and will be displayed inside the church by December 16 for all alumni to sign and write their whereabouts and messages. APRIL 23 2011 ALUMNI OFFICERS MEETING



EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SAINT ANNE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION DATED APRIL 23, 2011 SATURDAY.
·         This year’s Alumni Homecoming which is tentatively scheduled on December 30 will be sponsored by the following Batches:

·         There was also a topic on a Heritage Book wherein all names of every alumni will be printed and will be displayed  during the homecoming.  Every alumni is enjoined to sign above their names with the date and other information they wish to indicate and that book will be displayed during the Golden Anniversary.
·         The director reported that the P10,000 borrowed from the association is used as seed money for a scholarship fund. He plans to return the money and the association though of formally donating the amount to be added to the fund.
·         We were informed that Class 77 during their Gathering last April 6-7 was able to raise some money to start the construction of a covered alley  going to the comfort rooms.

            Except for the individuals who were chosen to be the contact for this year’s jubilarians, we invite all  members of Class 71, Class 76, Class 81. Class 86, Class 91 and Class 96 to join the Next Alumni Homecoming on May 15 at 10 in the morning, right after the Mass at the SAA function hall
