In a special meeting held last December 3 Sunday Presided by the President Judge Artemio Quidilla Jr and with the presence of Saint Anne Academy director Rev Joel Castillo, we came up with the Following:
*There was no quorum since there was only about 8 of us.
*Judge Quidilla relinquished his post to the the vice president Engr. Rogelio Jose. We suggested that they swap posts. Judge Quidilla is barred by the Supreme Court to assume Presidency of any organization.
*Rev. Castillo unveiled a plan for the celebration of the Saint Anne Academy Golden Anniversary in the year 2014. The plan kick off this year 2010 with the establishment of a Function Hall, a library-museum to house the books and SAA memorabilia and alumni materials, a computer room, a canteen, and the rehabilitation of the Gallardo stage.
*Another plan is a series of Alumni Gathering or Alumni Homecoming beginning this year 2010 to be spearheaded by Class’80 (30 years), Class 85 (25 years) and Class 70(40 years). Take note it will be a General Homecoming/and/or Gathering. It may not be as grand as that in 2005 but every batch can make their own gathering as nice as they wish. The good thing with this gathering/homecoming is that we can plan together for the grand day.
*Also, Rev. Joel planned to make the foothpath at the eastern side of the building into a “Tugot”, patterned in Hollywood. Instead of a star, the steps will be footprints that will bear the names of the “FIRSTS” of Saint Anne Academy. The first lawyer, teacher, engineer…etc. Please help us research on this matter. If you know who were the very first in the alumni, please email me or the director. We need your help.
The principal has been told to prepare the masterlist of all graduates and we are planning to publish it on several sites including this and that of the SAA Website (http://stanneacademypiddig.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html)
I published the Constitution and by-laws of the alumni Association for your perusal.
*It’s time to help our Alma Matter. Gone are the days that it was about to close. Every year, the enrolment is increasing. This year, SAA has more students compared to Roosevelt HS. Don Salustiano Aquino High School has something like 8 or 10 students more than SAA.
*Although the director is not asking for financial help, we may one find a way to help the students who are in need.
